Calgary's Downtown is a destination in and of itself and has become one of Canada's newest urban playgrounds. Complimenting modern day architecture are historical sandstone buildings that existed almost a century ago including The Stephen Avenue Walk National Historic District. Calgary Tower (1 - 2 hrs) The Calgary Tower elevates visitors 189 meters (626 ft.) above downtown Calgary for a 360-degree stunning view of the city and the Canadian Rockies. Walk on the 11-meter (36 ft) long glass floor and stand 160 meters (525 ft) above the ground in the heart of Calgary.

Glenbow Museum (2 - 4 hrs) A lively journey into the heritage of the Canadian West and an exciting exploration of other cultures.

Youthlink Calgary – The Calgary Police Service Interpretive Centre (2 - 3 hrs) Interactive facility with educational hands-on exhibits and games on criminal issues.

the CORE – Calgary Eaton Centre / TD Square (2 - 4 hrs) An indoor walkway system connects a four-block downtown shopping complex that includes anchor tenent Holt Renfrew, Calgary Eaton Centre / TD Square, Scotia Centre, and Bankers Hall.

Stephen Avenue Walk (2 - 4 hrs) Stephen Avenue Walk is a National Historic District boasting over 1,000 shops and facilities including some of Calgary's finest restaurants and pubs.

Inglewood District (2 - 3 hrs) A bustling shopping area just east of downtown featuring antiques, home furnishings, book stores and restaurants.

4th Street and Mission district (2- 3 hrs) The Mission district encompasses an area of exciting restaurants, specialty stores and coffee shops.

Art Central (1 - 2 hrs) A must visit for artists and art lovers alike. Art Central is a new concept bringing together artist studios, galleries, arts and crafts boutiques along with new dining experiences all under one roof.

Art Gallery of Calgary (1 - 2 hrs) Contemporary public art gallery with five exhibition cycles per year.

Cantos Music Foundation (1 - 2 hrs) Established in 2003 to build better communities by connecting people through music. One of the many featured items is the piano used by the song-writing duo of Elton John and Bernie Taupin.

EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts (2 - 3 hrs) Yearly, people experience 1,800-plus performances and events in this six level complex measuring over 400,000 square feet (almost 10 acres).
